Beautiful Spaces & Wedded Faces
Our work continually takes us to some of the most refined and chic event spaces in Central Texas, and we have witnessed 3 more weddings that we want to share. When Summer is officially here, the exquisite natural beauty of my hometown makes it a landmark for both local and destination weddings.

Mary and Mark tied the knot on July 31st, 2010, and they held their reception at the Star Ranch Country Club located just North of Austin in Hutto, TX. Star Ranch has some unique features including in house sound, which helps tremendously with the dinner and cocktail hour portion of the evening. The bride and groom were both graduates of Texas A&M University and they wanted a dj that could cater to their local country taste while keeping their friends and family on the dance floor. Fortunately, we have a vast Texas Country music collection that kept their guests tapping their toes all night long. I played the Aggie War Hymn at the peak of the evening, which was a huge hit with everybody. Jeff Loftin Photography was there to capture all of their Kodak moments on film. Thanks again Mary and Mark, we are thrilled to have shared in your celebration.
Anna and Justin were married on Saturday, August 7th and they held their reception at the historical and very exclusive Austin Club. Anna first contacted me in March through a friend of the family. After coming to hear me play a few times in public at JBlacks she became confident that I could handle her classic vs. contemporary mix of music. Located in the heart of downtown the The Millett Opera House, at 110 East Ninth Street, has been the home of The Austin Club since 1981. We were fortunate enough to play there this past New Year’s Eve and both experiences were extraordinary. I would like to personally thank Lillian Beckwith and all of the staff at the Austin Club for creating an intimate reception space and serving some delectable food! The massive buffet had a little something for everybody but I think the mashed potato martini bar and the prime rib carving station were the standout selections of the evening. Thanks again Anna and Justin for the fantastic opportunity, we had a blast making your friends and family dance all night long!
Jenny + Daniel got hitched at Villa St. Clair on August 14th, 2010 and they also held their reception at this exquisite venue that was built in 2008. I first met Jenny + Daniel at the January 2010 Bridal Extravaganza and I assured them that I could execute their broad and eclectic musical vision. Villa St. Clair is a family owned and operated venue, which I am always pleased to support. For a personal touch, Jenny + Daniel had a bagpiper play their ceremony music as they were married outside in the courtyard.
In the interest of modern convenience this venue incorporates a bunch of features that are built directly into the reception hall. Specifically, they have a huge screen and projector for any client seeking to display a slideshow or video. Furthermore, they have in house sound and gobo lights mounted and ready to display clients’ monograms on the floor.
We worked hand in hand with the staff there and I am delighted to say that we are now on their preferred vendor’s list! I cannot express my gratitude to Rebecca and the rest of the staff out there. We are definitely looking forward to entertaining again at Villa St. Clair very soon. Also, Margie & Robert with Old World Studios are quickly becoming one of our favorite photog duos, and they were onsite with us throughout the day to photograph all the action (check out the amazing photos near the top of the post).
Cakeism topped off the evening with delicious creations that were a big hit with everybody. Finally, the happy couple made a grand exit in an antique Rolls Royce provided by Brunet Classics.
Congratulations again to Jenny + Daniel, we had an incredible time!
